Trim watches the whole viper flinging stunt then remorsefully looks at his hand again. He will examine the trunk hoping it contains medicine or an antidote.
Fritz moves farther out of viper range and continues to watch the hall.

Portly Trim smiles, "Welcome! Well wait, where you here before us? How long have you been in there? What's in the trunk? Got anything to eat?" Trim rubs his belly. Fritz scans the new group carefully between quick glances down the hall. OOC: Map is now a link. Door colors are indeed for ty...

Portly Trim looks back to Chendris, perhaps you could use your technique to open this door and we can rescue those on the other side? He stands to one side razor and torch ready.
Fritz moves to the back and assumes his roll of rear guard, more nervous now than ever with club at the ready.

OOC....... Hello all, I will be taking over Portly Trim & Fritz. Thanks to beermotor for letting me join. On with it! Portly Trim will head to that door where the noises are coming from and listen carefully with his ear against it. Now that we know the secret of opening the door he feels comfort...

Same problem, I decided to use an ally. My group started with Portal and I set it in a Valley ruled by plantation owners who secretly worshipped Bobugbubiltz. The party decided their goal was to overthrown them and set out to find the means to do so as they were vastly more powerful than the 1st lev...

Rock Con (Rockford, IL) has good attendance and a nice mix of all types of games. Website: http://www.nobleminis.com/RockconWP/ Plenty of D&D and Pathfinder get run there. I think some old school would be well received there. Also would be interested if a demo pack is formed. Every group I have ...

Re: Three Things I Love about DCC
1) The maps, they set the tone so well and are the perfect size.
2) The art. I keep going back to the book to search for things just for the fun of it.
3) The way spells work. The tables are awesome and the is a price to pay. It's epic!

Thanks everyone. One of my favorite things about gaming is the maps. I had gotten away from doing them then saw "the Portal Under the Stars" map and got inspired. A good map really sets the stage I think.

As part of my Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG campaign I have been adapting old modules to suit my needs. In this case I have dumped the players into Taboo Island. :) The central plateau needed to be adapted so here it is in my version: http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd8/romprecentor/GM%20File/th_Isl...

Re: [House Rule] Ability Score Bump
Mine: Leveling Up! The DCC Beta is a bit rough on players at times in regard to ability score numbers. As such, if you continue to survive that & my adventures, when you level up you get a chance to improve! Each time a new level is gained pick one ability score that you would like to improve. R...

Re: What do you have in minds for your players?
I am continuing a campaign we started with the Beta set. I had a lot of trouble deciding what world I wanted to base the campaign in. Then I remembered seeing a simple rule set for world creation on the Gnome Stew site. It's called Dawn of Worlds . Had my players all assume the roles of gods and cre...

Heh. That's exactly how Adananx the Awesome tried to off his entire party in our Gary Con playtest. //H Technically it was't the whole party.... The spell tables are really nice. Having everything right there works well and the long term effects have more variation that improves long term character...

Re: Upcoming playtests of DCC RPG
Use Adananx wherever you want! Adananx was AWESOME. I didn't make him a demon prince, he just fulfilled his destiny! (And the corruption roll was too perfect.) I need to get home and write up a con recap, but your ending scene was one of my favorite memories from the con. With your blessing I'll wri...
