Re: Free RPG day and my first DCC RPG adventure
Thanks for the feedback. It is rare to get some honest constructive criticism. I admit; I was being heavy handed with my hints for the puzzles and handed out some skill check rolls that I probably shouldn't have. I also would have been a bit tougher judge if there weren't two players at the table wh...

Re: Free RPG Day
I did four runs of "The Portal Under the Stars" for a FLGS, The Comic Club Inc . I did my first run as a 1 on 1 with a friend to prepare. He played 16 characters by himself. 6 died. At the store I did 3 runs of four people each. All the players seemed to like it. My first group, I believe,...

Re: 0-Level Character Generator
For my own amusement, I've created a script that generates a random group of 4 0-level characters. I ran it past Joseph (and Harvey), and they think the community could get some use out of it. :) * The script creates a single PDF containing the 4 character cards * After printing, you can keep the p...

Re: Mithril Armor
It seems they forgot to add that to the chart. Also it should be "Arcane" not "Spell".Page 56 of DCC: RPG Beta wrote:Note that armor manufactured from mithril, adamantine, or other materials not containing iron may reduce the spell check penalty.

Re: the Artwork - keep it Black, White and BOLD!
I love the fully black chapter intro, but could GG change it to white for the beta. That is a lot of toner when I print.

Re: the Artwork - keep it Black, White and BOLD!
I for one love Mullen's stylized art. I stared at page 25 for a good 5 minutes last night.
I could do without the cartoons. They are funny and cool, but I just don't think they fit in theme of the book.
Keep it a color cover with black and white interior.

Re: Designer’s Blog #4: Adventuring in DCC RPG
This leads to a secondary problem: when the judge has the ability to pull off a TPK, and he stops short, the players will almost always be aware that he has spared them. I am a little ashamed of this but I knew one of my old GM's would never kill my character unless specifically pushed him to. So I...

Gamer Movie "Zero Charisma"
I saw the trailer for this awhile ago and thought it could be interesting.
Zero Charisma
I know it is probably reinforcing some bad stereotypes, but it looks funny.
