Re: JediOre's gang attempted a funnel 0-level game

Alright...here goes. First, let me say that this way of character creation has been on my mind for a long time. I kind of like the idea of 3d6x6 top to bottom. It makes for some interesting characters. I had a character with a 3 luck score lol. In true Star Trek fashion, we each had some red shirts....

Somehow with this party of 3, something tells me that this isn't going to be the last time I get to be the bait!

Re: KC Game Fair (KC, MO) - Nov 4-7

I'm looking forward to it as well. I'm signed up with Jedi and Jediwife for Curse of the Sphinx Queen. Still waiting to hear if we're in or not. Either way, I'll be there. I'm looking forward to meeting anyone that might make the trip.

Re: DCC#53: Sellswords Of Punjar

Tell Ragnar to trust his instincts (or not) Hmm...I love it when Harley gives me cryptic clues  I remember not too long ago when I was the D&D equivalent of a 98 pound weakling. I would go to the beach and people would kick copies of "Tomb of Horrors" in my face. But I've cut my ...

Sorry that I can't really add anything to this. It's just been too long ago that we finished it up. I'm not remembering much about it anymore. I remembered I liked it for what it's worth. I do remember the final encounter that is yet to appear here, but I'm sure is coming soon.

I'm going to cheat and give two answers for this question. If I'm playing 3rd edition, I would take my Halfling Rogue Esmaralda through Vault of the Iron Overlord, DCC 50. If I'm playing Castles and Crusades, I'd take my Gnome Wizard Kolo through Golden Palace of Zahadran, DCC 32. Both would be outs...

There is really nothing that I can add to what has already been very eloquently stated by the many fans of Mr. Gygax. For the large number of role-players for whom Gary Gygax was Dungeons and Dragons, the world lost one of it's bright lights. We will play, and we will remember. Godspeed Gary.

You may be right about Blood Whisker, but don't overlook that fact that we are only 3 pc's either. I'm sure that it was geared for 4-6 as most modules are. I enjoyed the module though. It was short and sweet and to the point. Of course turning the right direction helped.

Again, I reiterate the creepiness of this module. All in all pretty enjoyable though. I did want to elaborate on one thing regarding the final fight. After I killed the whip creature, I was able to cast Mage Armor on the ranger adding to Jedi's frustration with the dice rolls. I couldn't do a load o...

Although it galled them, they retreated again to rest for the night and regain hit points. [/i] Nothing galls me more than getting beat up by kobolds. We could be taken down by dire chipmunks, and I would still be ok with it. Well, maybe not ok, but I would feel better than if by kobolds. This modu...

Is there anything that can be done about what's going on with these? Personally, I can avoid them, and not cause myself too much grief about it. But, I'm pretty confident that everybody using these boards isn't a 40 something. I'd almost bet that there are some teens and dare I say younger frequenti...

I do remember this was the first time in the ranger's career (and he's third level) that his crossbow actually hit something.
Wow, I felt that sting all the way over here! Who knew Jedi had a sense of humor?

You have no idea how much I can't wait for 4 or 5 more levels. Jedi loves 1st-3rd level. I don't. Give me spells like Wall of Ice, Charm Monster, Implode...alright, that comes a little later. You get the idea. I prefer making things that don't agree with me go...boom. And most importantly, you NEVER...
