Just put together the "Perilous Ooze" bundle: if you haven't yet purchased either Sunken City Adventure yet, you can get PDF's of both Perils of the Sunken City and The Ooze Pits of Jonas Gralk for $8.99 and save a buck.

This is like CSI:Aereth.
It is fascinating to read things as they were happening, and to see how plans/perceptions change.

Re: Expanded Occupations and Ability-Based Tables
Welcome to the forums, Pesky. Great first post. :) I love the concept, but I can't help but wonder if there's a less math-intensive approach to reach the same result. Colin Thanks and thanks, Colin. Yeah, I realize that the scheme lacks the virtue of simplicity. There must be simpler way to do it; ...

Re: PSG: The Ooze Pits of Jonas Gralk
No, I actually was thinking of a Print+PDF combo. I mentioned PotSC because I don't have that one, either, and wondered how long I could wait and still get Print+PDF for it. Or how that works. My eventual plan was to do both print and PDF for the module trilogy, but now I have to consider the hardb...

I just assume that burly dwarves can shrug off the penalty and move at their normal rate in heavy armor. I can understand them having a lower top speed, but they're built for heavy loads. Halflings would be slowed.

How long does "now" last? I haven't purchased PotSC yet but eventually want the combo. When I say 'combo' I'm referring to the print and pdf versions of the same adventure. I'm guessing you're referring to 'bundling' -you want to purchase both Perils and Ooze Pits together... I'm still wo...

Am I the only youngun? I'm 26. Starting Playing with the tail end of 2nd Edition in the late 90's and then 3rd Edition soon after. Now I love DCC :D I hope that the DCC RPG, along with the other strong 'old school' systems will spur interest in 'younger' players who haven't had much opportunity to ...

Thanks!
Yes, the print version (in lovely full color) should be available within two weeks.
As with Perils of the Sunken City, if you purchase the PDF now, you will be able to purchase the print version at the reduced 'combo' price when it's available. ($5.99 instead of $8.99)

And I have some ideas about a paper miniature creating utility that would allow you to update your character over time with new gear, wounds, corruption... Still very early, but this is likely something I'll be working on in 2013. Whah? Has your ambition no bounds, man?! My son is working on a comp...

Colin,
When all the charts are out, I'll add the stat based logic of your new charts as an option in the Zero Level Party Generator.
(I love the wonderful absurdity of 4 agility hunters and 5 strength blacksmiths, but this is a logical alternative.)

I hear you Hawkwind! Though in this case I think it's just a case of the launch of the DCC RPG and the rise of Kickstarter in most folk's consciousness colliding. I don't see another mad rush happening any time soon.

Re: Levelling up to level 1: time gap in the storyline?
I agree with NobleDrake... I like to look at surviving the funnel as the culmination point for a transformation that's been going on for a while. Putting everything on the line in a live or die situation justifies the rapid advancement. I've actually seen this sort of thing happen in real life, wher...
