When I was at GenCon, I picked up this for right around $20. Worth looking into. It doesn't have a d5 or d7 but it does have a d18. Dice are good quality too. Comes with its own bag too.
Fairly awesome deal, IMO.

Re: 2012: Transylvanian Adventures & The Transylvanian Grimo
I wrote up a mini level 0 adventure using it just to test some of the tables and things. I really can't wait to see my players go through it and test TA out :) Cool. Let me know how it goes. I hope you all have a great time. Care to elaborate on why this was done? Just curious as I might just use r...

Re: 2012: Transylvanian Adventures & The Transylvanian Grimo
Bought my PDF and have read it over. Doing the first session next weekend. I really enjoyed it (as I thought I would) but I have a few questions: Cool. Happy you enjoyed it. 1) About skills, is a PC considered "trained" (i.e., roll d20 vs. d10) in all the skills in which he has bonuses? S...

Well I finished reading this bad boy and I must say I cannot wait for more ;) Consider yourself at two more sales when the next books come out, heck I might even get hard copies. Thanks. I am slightly intimidated by the investigation structure but that's just because the idea of it is really smart ...

Where is the cleavage table? Wasn't that one of the things that was so, um, momentous it was moved to a later book... Yup. It's still alive and well. Just postponed. It was painful trying to figure out what was necessary/essential for the first book. The Cleavage Rule was a lot of fun.

Re: Running DCC with VERY Low Magic
Polymaths (and the upcoming "Theorist") in TATG are either Patron groupies or they're like Dr. Van Helsing and are just content with their little list of SFW rituals. Not to derail too much, but in one playtest of The Winter Home , there was a player who was also testing out the Theorist....

Re: Running DCC with VERY Low Magic
First let me state that I love Appendix N literature and gritty Sword and Sorcery play. However I find a lot of the modules produced at this point to be a bit slapstick/wild in comparison to the source material. Not saying they're bad or anything, just a different matter of taste. I really like the...

Re: 2012: Transylvanian Adventures & The Transylvanian Grimo
I have been looking forward to this book since I picked up DCC. So far, it has not disappointed. My friend and I each purchased a copy and it was well worth it. A couple praises and a question: The mad lib type character creation is some of the most fun I've had making characters. I had 3 people at...

Note to self: lock up the bread (toast) and rice when players come over. Tell the neighbors that the words A**hole and slut will be used often not to be alarmed. I may have to offer both as player characters along with Dr Scott. This adventure must work! Well, the "Life's Been Good To Me So Fa...

Smathis, have you talked to the Spellburn podcast guys about being "invoked" on an episode yet? They've talked about TATG in passing a couple times, but having you on there to extol the virtues of the supplement (and let the hosts play around with the mechanics) could be a good marketing ...

Re: 2012: Transylvanian Adventures & The Transylvanian Grimo
Nice to hear! Will be getting least two hardcover copies. One to keep the other used at the gaming table. Will there be an option to upgrade the paper quality, for this book, on Lulu? Like DCC core book paper quality? Cool. IIRC, I'm not cheaping out on the paper quality. I'm at least one bump, if ...

Working on proofing the print-on-demand copies over the weekend. I have a couple arriving in the mail in a couple of weeks. At this time, there will be a hardcover for $34.99 and a softcover for $19.99.
Hardcover will come with a free PDF download.
More details as I find them out.

The keeper you are about to see has no F'ing neck! You'd also have to have it such that the party arrives on Friday with something very important to deliver or attend on Saturday night. Only to have it be Sunday when the adventure ends. Bonus XP to the player who asks "Whatever happened ...

I am still waiting. Going to order the print and get a deal on the PDF? Any idea when this option will be? I have to get the full wrap-around cover built for Lulu. Then prep the PDF for their POD service. Then have a proof sent and make adjustments. At the very least, it's a week or two out. But it...

Brotherhood of the Wolf, Peter Cushing as Van Helsing in the early Hammer films, or read any Tomb of Dracula, that's about the type of character players could expect to play in TATG. Hmmm. Purchased and enjoying it quite a bit already. Quick Question: The Firearms table lists the damage of a rifle as being 1d5, but I thought the d5 and d7 were dropped from TA? :?: Well... specifically... d5 and d7 were dropped from the Dice Chain of DCC. So when you get a -1 die shift on a d8, it bec...

Got it in my cart. wish I would've been able to get it before I ran your quickstater. The players had loads of questions and were interested in changing the characters a bit. I could see that. The character classes and rules in the full book are better than in the intro adventure. EDIT: I was about...

Re: 2012: Transylvanian Adventures & The Transylvanian Grimo
So far, and I've only read through the Mistress Spider, I like what I read. Good humor. Well written. Although I do have 1 question. Early on you have a sidebar that discusses self-inflicted wounds and you say to roll 2d20. Does that mean 2-40 for 1 result or 1d20 twice; yielding 2 results? Thanks....
