Re: Alternate Spellburn Actions
Thanks for doing this. This is exactly the sort of deterrent I was looking for to prevent Spellburn abuse. I come from the camp that prefers GM's to be neutral referees, so having something like this is very much appreciated.

Re: Patrons supplement Kickstarter live!
If we supported at a level to get the Revelation of Mulmo, do we get the pdf as well? I am guessing it's just the hard copy since I never received the pdf and it's already released.

Re: Why did you buy (or not buy) Attack of the Frawgs?
There's a certain level of silliness/goofiness at which I don't think a product will fly with my group and the title seemed to fall past that line. This. The name immediately had me turned off. That said if it was totally gonzo I may have bought it, but it seemed to have a semi-serious tone to it t...

Carbluenza, Demon Prince of Disease ......... I suspect that, sooner or later, all of them will show up in something. Great to hear but please, change this name: all I can think of is influenza. Really hope you get the others out there though. Love having a bunch of patrons to choose from and it's ...

Re: Patrons supplement Kickstarter live!
I am waiting for the physical product to start properly reading this book so I can't help with typo's (though I didn't notice any in the bits I read). I have to say though, based on the parts I read it looked really good and surpassed my expectations. I can already highly recommend this and I am wil...

Re: Do we need War rules?
Have you done any tweaking to it yet for DCC? Honestly, no I haven't. I do think it could be done with some minor tweaking and on-the-fly rulings though. If you want to learn more check this out: http://deltasdnd.blogspot.ca/2011/09/book-of-war-core-rules.html In that link you can find one of the p...

Re: Do we need War rules?
This is something I would love to see. I think this is one of the things over-looked by modern games, they almost completely forget about the war-game roots of RPGs.

Also, I totally consider this a game standing upon the shoulders of D&D. Part of the point is for it to be compatible after all. How is it really compatible though? Spells? Nope, need to be re-written to fit the result-based tier system. Ability scores? Almost, they mean different things at the...

Re: Stupid Dice Tricks: Ability Checks
I agree about the DC system and have decided to use a simple d6 check system (basically I just decided to expand on the Open Doors check from earlier versions of D&D). I recently read that the same system was used in the Astonishing Swordsmen and Sorcerers of Hyperborea so I purchased the pdf ju...

Re: Regaining Luck
Joseph, thanks for that clarification - this'll certainly help me a lot as I have for the first time a thief in my current crop of characters. For complete clarification though, when awarding a luck increase to characters, for a thief/halfling, is it: a) an increase to their full (original) luck sc...

This is a great freebie though it may take over your campaign if your players want to keep exploring: http://greyhawkgrognard.blogspot.ca/2010/07/castle-of-mad-archmage-final-release.html B1 is a good suggestion I would think for DCC (if you have a copy). Some 3rd party ones off the top of my head: ...

Re: More importantly, what's after #74?
To avoid further misunderstandings: it's ironic that I play a game which is heavily supported by modules, because I don't need modules. Is it clear now? :) And about the annuals: I'm not hungry for anything, I just simply like tinkering with races, classes, rules, spells, therefore an annual with n...

I, for one, think that you should try any game as written before deciding how to change it. It seems to me that trying the game as written provides greater insight. Of course, I have read far too many posts about "broken" games where the "breaking" is clearly a result of changin...

Re: Regaining Luck
If it's any consolation Phloog you aren't the only one that has issues with the way luck works in this game. There are lots of great ideas and rules in this game but sometimes (in my opinion) they don't work so elegantly together and require a lot of DM discretion and player buy-in. For instance the...

Kind of funny in that he originally wanted to produce this game in two books, one for levels 1-5 and one for 6-10.

Re: Book of Mysteries poll
I really like this, and I’d definitely be very interested in it, although my opinion is the opposite of ragboy's: I'd prefer the bigger list of items, as it's almost certain that some won't fit my style of game, some I simply don't like etc. Just because there's a list of 300 magic items doesn't me...

They added a $15 option for the digital download which was both a better price point for me. Apparently it worked for a a lot of other people as well since it has nearly doubled it's total from this morning!!!
