Re: Punjar: For all of us that missed Free RPG Day!
You have a point there. It's a shame not to bring Punjar to the masses. I'm hoping for a longer treatment at some point, since the Free RPG Day book just kind of sketches the outlines but isn't long enough to dive in further.

Welcome, Isanodag!
Arguably they did one better... the print version was free. I know there must be gaming stores still out there giving these away.

I might have thrown it out, but if I still have the copy, I'll scan it and upload the image so that it isn't just me anecdotally quoting something most folk don't see.

Re: How is the 4e products selling?
As the former manager of a gaming store, I still receive Game Buyer magazine. As of GB's last publication, Goodman Games' 4E products occupied ALL the top 5 ranks (by units sold). Customers go to Paizo to buy PFRPG material. It's a wonder that ANY 4E products sells from their site, so the suggestion...

Whoa! The Punjar setting PDF is up for grabs a Paizo. Wonder if it is up at RPGnow and the others?

Re: Forgotten Heroes comparison with WOTC, APG from XRP
This is great news, to me. What looked like it might be redundant products is actually 3 tomes of equally useful material. I think I'll pick them all up --- the more variations on a theme, the more choices my players have.
Kudos to Goodman, WotC and AGP!

Re: DCC#53: Sellswords Of Punjar
Insane ... found one for $15, but that is just silly. That's like a dollar page. (Not that it isn't worth it, mind you, just that the thought of giving someone the price of a DCC for something they got for free irks the heck out of me.)

Re: DCC#53: Sellswords Of Punjar
I think there is a reply coupon card in the 4E adventures that will get you a digital copy of the Punjar Gaz.
But, sometimes you just got to have a physical copy. I'm trying to pick up a copy on Ebay ....

Re: Congrats on the Silver ENnie!
Yeah don't you guys get nominated every year? Whatever .... it's tough to beat the Paizo voting machine, and Wizards is just mammoth. It'd be cool to see you guys win more, but it is also nice having this smaller community to ourselves. We're like the cool band before it gets discovered. A year from...

Re: The 4E DCC
I picked them up. I can can say that they are unabashedly awesome. Even if you hate the covers, I urge you to consider buying one the DCCs, even if you aren't going on to 4E. They are solid adventures that can easily be put to use in your C&C game, AD&D, 3.5 whatever. But for those of you th...

The 4E DCC
How many months of tidbits, cover shockers, and content teasers ... and now, at long last, the 4E DCC is finally here. I have been NOTHING but disappointed with Wizards' offerings on the adventure front. It is like Keep on the Shadowfell was designed with the specific intent of turning off players. ...

While it unlikely that Goodman can win in the Year of the Paizo, it does feel good to at least be able to cast my ballot.

Re: ENnies are up!
Some one did a search and found a "seconded" post. Although, even if they change it, there's no point to it. Most die hard fans have already voted and were unable to find Goodman Games on the best publisher link. What can the ENnies do to get it right? Email every IP and tell them to re-vo...

I can't speak for anyone else, but I feel like someone who has been through a drought and finally sees blessed rain clouds on the horizon.
And Clyde Caldwell. It does not get any better than that.
Just bask in the joy. Bask in the joy.

Re: Aereth and 4E
The bulk of the Gazetteer is sectioned by describing the different wards (i.e. districts, neighborhoods etc.) of the city. The description of each ward is really great, highlighting of course some of the more notable places within each ward. The writing is done quite well, hat-tip to Mr. Stroh ;) M...

Well it can't be a typo then. Maybe it went to print before Goodman Games knew about the October limit?xredjasonx wrote:On the back cover in big bold lettering it says:
This August DCC Delivers
And it also says August on the inside back cover, for those three modules.
I wish it was sooner!

Awesome review! Thank you for posting i. Ok first, the 4E DCC line launches in August , kicking off with the 3 adventures we've seen the covers to on OgreCave: DCC 53: Sellswords of Punjar DCC 54: Forges of the Mountain King DCC 55: Isle of the Sea Drake But this has to be a typo, right? I mean I th...

Re: Free RPG Day
That's a good question. I know that the purpose of Free RPG Day is to drive folks to brick and mortar retailers, so I think that the logic goes that if they same product is released as a PDF it defeats the purpose of "working to save the local gaming store." Still even if it was just a $2 ...

Free RPG Day
The DCC offering looks sweet. A gazetteer on Punjar will be a huge hit with our group.
However, I'm a little bummed that it won't be a true DCC adventure, like last year. A little tough to create adventures though, without the rules, eh?
