No one has notified me of any changes here. Perhaps an error on the Goodman main pages? I will ask around.

Re: Cthulhu Crawl Classics

Huge necro bump here, but I just saw that there are 2 issues of "Crawl-thulhu" out on DriveThru. Only $3 per issue, which seems like a good deal for anyone who wants to mix Cthulhu with DCC.

Also, the fact that WotC put out their own Giants adventure means they may not want a competitor doing another Giants thing.

Designing Old-School

Re: Tegel Manor

There is also a 5E version of Tegel Manor, by Frog God Games. I run 5E characters through DCC modules all the time and I assume one could run DCC characters through a 5E module with little fuss. One thing to remember about the old school stuff (I still have my Judges Guild version of Tegel Manor fro...

With the next Dune movie only a few months away, I thought I'd give this thread a little bump.

I haven't progressed my Dune project at all. :( Anyone do a Dune DCC homebrew?

Re: DCC version of Reincarnated Series?

I playtested DCC using some old AD&D modules and currently run a lot of DCC modules using 5E, and in general I don't worry much about conversions. My plan is rarely to "balance" an adventure so my crew knows that if things go badly they should run away and maybe regroup. My rule of thu...

Re: Returning to the Road Crew to tour The Dying Earth!

Sounds like a great campaign. One thing I like about DCC is that general "every monster unique" philosophy and it looks like you have captured that totally. Love the fact that you make your monsters "canon" to your campaign so that if one is encountered later it will be the same ...

Re: Core Rules Setting Sandbox?

Today's "New Release Wednesday" email from Goodman Games had something perhaps relevant to this thread. The suggestion is that five adventures written by Harley Stroh could make a nice campaign. While they mention "adventure path" I think it could also be a sandbox if a GM were t...

Re: 5E Magic and Monsters of Lankhmar

The PDF has been released to backers. PDF says page count of 34, but that probably includes covers and such. (1) Short introduction of how Nehwon fits into the history of D&D (2) Chronological listing of source material (books, stories, poems, and where to find them) (3) Part One: Nehwonian Nast...

Re: Connect the dots here

I thought that part of the interview was interesting as well, but I never quite understood Moorcock's position on the use of the Melnibone mythos. If he gave TSR permission to use it, and also gave Chaosium permission to use it, why back off when litigation happened between the two? Why not just say...

Re: Connect the dots here

Watched the Moorcock interview. Fun, but I really had hoped for a DCC Elric announcement, which never happened. I think Elric (and Moorcock's other Multiverse characters) would make an excellent DCC setting. Fingers crossed that someday we get this. ;)

Connect the dots here

I will confess that I don't _know_ anything here, but I have a couple of thoughts to put together.... (1) Michael Moorcock interview on twitch. (2) Goodman blog on monsters in the Elric books. So ... connecting the dots I'm speculating that we may see DCC Elric soon? Thoughts? Am I nuts here...

Thanks for the "from the source" information. I'll probably buy a copy through Indigogo to support Lankhmar and support Goodman Games, but I'm still kind of bummed. :(

Re: 5E Magic and Monsters of Lankhmar

Well, I had really hoped for a 5E hardback chock full of Lankhmar goodness. A bit different from a 20-24 page pamphlet. Not sayin' the thing won't be good stuff, but I had this mental image which is hard to reconcile with the actuality. :-( That plus Indigogo instead of KS... well I may wait until t...

Re: 5E Magic and Monsters of Lankhmar

I would have liked to have seen a DCC version. :? I'm confused. There already is a DCC Lankhmar. Is that what you are looking for? Over a dozen modules, Lannkhmar campaign boxed set, "Greatest Thieves of Lankhmar" boxed set, and so on. This was a 5E adaptation of some of the same content....

5E Magic and Monsters of Lankhmar

Just looking at the Indigogo page, which just went live today.
https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/magi ... ar-for-5e/

Print plus PDF is only $10? Any idea why this book is so cheap? Softcover at 20-24 pages isn't quite what I had hoped for.

Re: MCC... campaign setting?

I have some old maps from the TSR RPG Gamma World and I use those as the basis of my setting. I think you can really do a campaign anywhere, but I like to start my players out near their home town so it starts out familiar, yet changed.

What I find interesting is that everyone seems to equate "swords & sorcery" with fantasy, but Leiber's stories are clearly a mix of fantasy and horror. 8)

Re: What other Appendix N inspired settings would you like to see?

I know you mentioned "Stalking the Night Fantastic" but the attached image reminds me that DCC Cthulhu would be pretty neat. Lovecraftian New England has a lot of fun places -- Arkham, Innsmouth, Dunwich, and others -- and it would be interesting to have creatures from Lovecraft's mythos s...
