Sorry to hear about that! So were they all 1st-level characters? TSQ can be tough for 1st-level PCs, as several creatures in the meteor, like the dronog, can take out a 1st-level PC -- especially a non-fighter -- in one shot. (An average of 3rd level is recommended.) According to page 3 of the Shar...

The Shardsfall Quest an AAR (spoilers!)

This is the story of my first DragonMech session. Having spend weeks to gather up players and finding a day to play, we finally started yesterday. Re: Flame nozzels

Um, yeah, that's my fault. I was playing using some weird house rules that should have been changed for print. :) I played using a ranged touch attack for each creature in the cone, rather than the usual everything-make-a-Reflex-save style of play. If you use a ranged touch attack, it makes sense f...

Flame nozzels

I can't seem to figur out how these work. They produce a cone attack which damages all creature in the area (p. 129), yet they explode if one is "full-blazing" and roll 1 on an attack roll. So do they hit all creatures like a standard cone attack, or do they require an attack roll? Does on...
