Re: mikewilsonart.com

I agree. These are really great. The line work on the ogre magi is beautiful - and the old school kobolds brought a warm feelig after all these years. Great stuff!

Re: Jon Roberts' Maps

Here's a few unlabelled maps from Wrath of the River King - an Open Design Project by Wolfgang Baur. You can still get hold of the full adventure by signing up to the current project - Halls of the Mountain King - which will have a few more of my maps in it! Anyway, for those who are interested, you...

Re: Jon Roberts' Maps

Here's a recent map for the ICE contest : http://th05.deviantart.com/fs44/300W/i/2009/061/8/8/The_ICE_Temple_by_torstan.jpg ... and a short bit of flavour text for those that like that sort of thing: In ancient times a dragon ravaged the lands. Thousands of people were slain and cities burned to the...

Jon Roberts' Maps

I've got some great comments back about my maps so I thought I'd start a small thread here with a few maps. Some were done for commissions and I'll make this clear when they are. Otherwise these are CC licensed under the CC-BY-NC licence. Basically feel free to use them for home games. If you post t...

Re: A Request for Color Maps

Glad you like them. These are posted at high resolution. It's probably worth opening them in gimp then using save as... to save as a new jpg. In the dialogue that opens, drop the quality down from 100 and see how the file size drops. For maptool, a quality of 60 should have no noticeable effect on q...

Re: A Request for Color Maps

Thanks! That's an effusive welcome :) I've ended up freelancing with these maps so some of these are for publications, however a good few are for my own personal campaign. As we're talking about the benefits of digital and paper - I use maptool for my games these days so I know how important it is t...

Re: A Request for Color Maps

You need to do a little editing. Open it in an editing program like gimp (also free - you can google it). Use the measuring tool to find out how many pixels there are to a grid. Now go to Image->Scale Image and set the resolution to the correct number of pixels. Also, and this is important for greys...
