Thanks.
Not sure yet. Still assembling the group. That'll help determine the where and the when.

I'll PM you with more detail.

Looking to start DCC game in Bethlehem/Lehigh Valley PA area

As the title suggests, I'm trying to start an ongoing DCC game in the Bethlehem, PA area (or anywhere around the Allentown/Bethlehem/Easton Lehigh Valley area in Northeast Pennsylvania.)

If you're interested in possibly joining in, let me know.

Re: Best starter/beginning 0-level funnel module

Are the players RPG vets? Newbies? A mix? Not sure yet. Either vets or a mix. Launching a campaign? Running a one-shot? The latter, with hopes of it turning into the former if all goes well. I've not really been involved in gaming for the past couple of years. This is pretty much just my (slowly) g...

Re: DCC #35 Compatibility w/DCC RPG

I am in the process of planning my first DCC campaign. I'm wondering about the practicality of investing in the 3E Aereth gazetteer (PDF). How much has the setting changed versus what's implied in DCC RPG? Thanks in advance! How much has changed? Much. As far as I can tell, there's some locations t...

Are you currently working on anything DCC related? Hey VS, No - in fact, I'm not working on anything gaming-related anymore. And modemaus - I'm afraid I can't answer your DCC RPG-related questions. You may want to direct them to Harley Stroh, or other GG folks currently involved in the development ...

Re: DCC RPG Default Campaign World

Speaking as someone who worked on the original, my guess is that there would have to be some significant retooling, or some re-imagining. Some of the names might remain the same, but the details and the vibe would be distinctly new and different. When we were creating the original DCC world, we were...

Seriously? Write what interests you. Write something that makes you want to roll dice and run an adventure. White something that makes you excited about putting words down on the page. Don't worry about guessing what someone else is looking for. If you're passionate about what you're writing, it'll ...

I'd say Hawkwind does. :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nO9CJolNGVM Good one. :) Which reminds me, Lemmy from Motorhead once was in Hawkwind ... and Motorhead's another good one for the soundtrack, for those "all hell's breaking loose" moments. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GT...

The Sword.

If they don't scream old school sword and sorcery, I don't know what does. :D

(Also lots of fun to play on guitar, particular with a Gibson SG through a tube amp ...)

The story "Red Nails" is essentially one big above-ground megadungeon. ... and the Basic D&D module "B4: The Lost City" is essentially "Red Nails" . If you want to try a mega-dungeon for the DCC RPG, it might be a good place to start. You can pick up a copy of it o...

Just got my precision dice and I'm underwhelmed. The giant chunks of excess plastic are a bit much. I don't know how these can be considered precision dice. I'm sorry but for $35 bucks I don't want to spend a bunch of time sanding my dice so they can look like crap :x . The precision made dice used...

Re: Zocchi DIce Poll

The "full" Dicenomicon app runs $4.99, IIRC. It covers just about any polyhedral dice shape you can imagine, including the stuff in the DCC game. Seems to me to be a good way to test out the DCC without spending a lot of money on dice you may not want, especially since you'll probably be a...

I'd use a dice roller app like Dicenomicon too if I played this game on an ongoing basis.

Re: International Historical & Archaeological Society

Thanks. :) The IH&AS was really just an idea I had for why investigators would keep going to the far-flung corners of the world. If you're running the adventures in AoC 5 as individual, stand-alone adventures, that's not so important ... but if you're connecting them in a campaign, or connecting...

Funny that just the other day, the term "Aereth Two" popped into my head. Funny, I still like "Aereth One". :) There's a lot of interesting places in the original Gazetteer that never got explored in any DCC modules. The far north, lots of the Southlands, most of the Lostlands ....

I wouldn't say that "Age of Cthulhu" is necessarily 'better' than the other options you've listed (although AoC is specifically meant for use with the Call of Cthulhu RPG ruleset from Chaosium). 'Different' is probably the better way of describing it. It's Call of Cthulhu with a distinctly...

Re: Themed "Age of Cthulhu" Adventure Paths

Hiya Gang, I was wondering if Goodman Games had considered creating themed AoC Adventure Paths? What I mean by this is creating books akin to what Pathfinder's done with 3.5 D&D/PFRPG. Basically having an overall arc to what's being made, along with a Player's Guide. For example, maybe somethin...

Thanks Harley. But did you mean south of 54 because 57 is no where near the Orgemouth and Hali or the Mountain King? The spot for "Wyvern Mountain" on the map isn't quite accurate. To be honest, it should be positioned somewhere between Stalgard and Orgemouth, further north than indicated...

Savage Worlds would definitely be a great choice for Broncosaurus Rex.

I also wouldn't mind seeing the FATE rules for this either. Spirit of the Century is an awesome game that uses FATE, and I think Broncosaurus Rex would fit right into that system as well.
