DCC RPG
Free RPG Day Adventure Starter
Glory & Gold Won by Sorcery & Sword
You’re no hero.
You’re an adventurer: a reaver, a cutpurse, a heathen-slayer, a tight-lipped
warlock guarding long-dead secrets. You seek gold and glory, winning it
with sword and spell, caked in the blood and filth of the weak, the dark,
the demons, and the vanquished. There are treasures to be won deep underneath,
and you shall have them.
Return to the glory days of fantasy with the Dungeon Crawl Classics
Role Playing Game. Adventure as 1974 intended you to, with modern rules
grounded in the origins of sword & sorcery. Fast play, cryptic secrets,
and a mysterious past await you: turn the page…
This adventure module was originally released for free as part of Free
RPG Day 2011. A few remaining copies are still available for sale on
our web store.
Rules Set: DCC RPG, an OGL system that cross-breeds Appendix
N with a streamlined version of 3E.

Against The Outer Dark: “It is apparent to me that Goodman has pulled
out all the stops here, and is setting a precedent with this Free RPG Day
adventure starter. If this is a sign of things to come then it looks like
DCC RPG is going to be a huge hit. If ever there was a time for this kind
of game I feel this is the time.”
-
Grognardia:
“For now, I'll only say that, the more I see of the Dungeon Crawl Classics
RPG, the more intrigued I am. I'm starting to think that may prove
to be a bigger success than people are expecting.”
-
Living
Dice: “But more importantly, it actually feels like old School D&D.
It has that familiar friend feeling to it, with something you vaguely know
and remember.”

Fan Review: “Overall, the Adventure Starter. is a very nice little
teaser for the Dungeon Crawl Classics Roleplaying Game.. It does a good
job of evoking the “Old School” style and giving a taste of what the game
itself can serve up.”

the DCC system.”

fan review: “The game mechanic’s are cruel, and fast. For example,
you have to roll 3d6, to each ability. No more dice, no more methods, no
more change.”
